91% of Participating Sunderland fans call for Speakman’s Resignation in Online Poll

Over 91% of participating fans voted in an online poll affirming their belief that Sunderland A.F.C Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman should leave the club.

The poll, which was held on the Ready to Go (RTG) forum with a simple “in” or “out” option, saw over 600 SAFC fans participate by Wednesday night.

Over 91% of those who voted believe Speakman should leave, with only a small minority defending him.

Speakman, and his so-called “Model” has come under increasing criticism from SAFC fans since the closure of last season.

In addition to the club’s rapid collapse in form in 2024, fans cite a total absence of meaningful signings bar inexperienced youth players, the appointment of Michael Beale, the failure to sign a goal scorer and now the club’s apparent inability to recruit a “head coach” as reasons behind their growing disdain for the director.

They argue his policies are the direct reason why the club has become unappealing for any manager.
