Appeal for witnesses after hit and run incident on North Hylton Road
A mother is appealing for witnesses after her son was injured in a suspected hit-and-run on North Hylton Road in Sunderland.
The incident happened around 9:15–9:25pm last night near the Lidl traffic lights. The driver involved is believed to have fled the scene, and the vehicle is thought to be a newer model white Peugeot or Vauxhall Astra.
The victim’s mother said her son is currently in hospital undergoing treatment, including X-rays, and thanked a separate driver in a white BMW who stopped to help.
She’s urging the person responsible to come forward and do the right thing.
Anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam footage is encouraged to report it.
