Arrests made as 13 year old threatened with knife outside of Train Station, coat stolen

Arrests have been made after a teenage boy was reported threatened with a knife outside of Sunderland railway station.

The incident, occurring at around 3pm, saw the boy threatened by a group of youths who then stolen his jacket.

After a social media post was shared and individuals responsible were identified, police were able to make some arrests and the jacket was eventually returned.

A concerned parent told SGM that this kind of behaviour has become frequent around the station area from the evening onwards, and other parents are being asked to be vigilant and to encourage their children to avoid it.
