Bolton 6-0 Sunderland – Match Report – What a Shambles!

Sunderland fans fury as Bolton Wanderers smash The Black Cats’ 6-0 in a terrible showing from the lads.

Things started poorly pretty much from the off for the Black Cats’, with some terribly placed passes and no intention of attacking.

Bolton scored their first goal through a mistake from Sunderland ‘Keeper Thorben Hoffman, as he came out to clear the ball but got beaten to it by Wanderers forward Dion Charles, who lobbed it over the ‘keeper and into the net.

Things went from bad to worse just before half time as Bolton forward Afolyan was presented with a chance that he could not miss after some lethargic defending from the lads.

The second half started even worse than the first half for Sunderland as Dion Charles got his second of the game, just 6 minutes after the restart.

Sunderland fans started to voice their anger and just 8 minutes later Kieran Lee made it 4-0 with half and hour left after being played in by Dion Charles to finish passed Hoffman.

Things started to get even more embarrassing as Bolton crossed the ball in to see new Sunderland defender Danny Batth put the ball in his own goal with a diving header.

Just 3 minutes later, former Sunderland loaner, Declan John capped the afternoon off with a goal to make the score 6-0 which proved to be the final score.

My Views

Terrible. shocking. Gutted. Heartbroken.

My first away game in almost 2 years, and I never expected it to be that bad.

Johnson has got to have a long hard look at himself after that set up today, everything was wrong from the beginning!

However, you can’t just blame it of the manager, it is the players aswell, that was embarrassing, and they should hang their heads in shame!

I couldn’t have got my prediction more wrong. 3-0 I said, thought it was optimistic, but possible.

Boy was I wrong.

Is it time for Johnson to go? I heard a lot of fans suggesting it at the match today! What do you think?

Not one player stood out today! They were all awful.

It’s a huge game next week at home to Doncaster.

Let’s hope we can turn this around as soon as possible.

Johnson – 0

Like I said before, everything was wrong today. Things need to change quickly as there are plenty of supporters calling for his head again. Hopefully the new signings will help us turn this around.
