A London bus driver has pleaded guilty to killing a nine-year-old girl while under the influence of cannabis.
Ada Bicakci and her five-year-old brother were struck on Watling Street, Bexleyheath in August 2024.
Martin Asolo-Agogua, 23, was driving a double decker bus when the tragedy occurred. He admitted to causing death by careless driving and driving while unfit through drugs. Ada later died in hospital; her organs went on to save six other children.
Judge Ben Gumpert KC warned that a custodial sentence is “inevitable.”
Ada, a dual Turkish and British national, was remembered as a passionate gymnast and swimmer. Her family continues to raise funds in her memory to support emergency services and the hospital that cared for her.
