Eight Foot Python Loose on Thorney Close

An Eight Foot Long Jungle Python is on the loose around Thorney Close, a family has revealed as they seek to get their pet again.

The snake, owned by Michelle Brunton, is black and yellow in colour and escaped from a property in Taunton Square.

Although people may respond to the news with amusement, tropical snakes require special lighting systems to stay warm and are ill suited to the British weather and environment.

The reptile is not likely to survive long until it is found. It is not believed to pose a risk to the public.
