A fundraiser has been created to support the lost dog team after a week long search concluded for a lost whippet.
Laura Parks, from Silksworth, captured the attention of Sunderland after she embarked on a seven day struggle to find the lost dog, who ventured all the way to Ryhope.
Finally, on the early hours of Saturday morning, she announced the whippet had been found with the help of a specialist lost dog team.
Now, to return the favour for their hard work, she has launched a GoFundMe fundraiser for the Lost Dog Team to buy a specialist “trap” to help catch dogs in future occurrences.
As of the time of writing the fundraiser has already raised over £2000.
