A four-year-old girl was bitten by an XL bully dog while walking on a river footpath in Salford, prompting an urgent police appeal.
The incident happened between 2pm and 3pm on Saturday 19 July on the River Irwell footpath in the Kersal area. It’s not yet clear what caused the attack or whether the dog’s owner was present.
Thankfully, the child did not suffer serious injuries.
Greater Manchester Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or has information to come forward.
The investigation is ongoing.
