Grangetown man avoids jail after threatening people with a machete in public

A Grangetown man has avoided prison after he was convicted of threatening people with a machete, as well as supplying drugs.

Shaun Holyoak of Westheath avenue, Grangetown was found guilty in court after he threatened people with the bladed article, including in front of children.

When police raided his home, they also found a large amount of Cannabis in his possession.

Having been found guilty of all charges, Holyoake received a four month sentence, suspended for 12 months.

He will also undergo mental health rehabilitation.
