Burglars have broken into a Houghton Sports Centre and stole money raised for a local charity.
The Houghton Sports Centre was broken into earlier this week.
During the raid, an estimated £850 in charity proceeds, raised during a skydive event, was stolen.
The cash had been dedicated to the Red Sky Foundation, an award winning local charity that has been funding defibrillators throughout the local area, as well as other heart related car efforts also helping children.
Despite this the centre have vowed not to be defeated in helping the foundation reach their £3000 goal from the skydiving event and have asked people to donate online.
