ABOUT THE ROLE
• Manage and organise the stores and yard.
• Maintain a tidy, safe and efficient stores environment.
• Manage deliveries and goods received, including forklift operation where required.
• Book stock in and out using company systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment.
• Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Carry out regular stock counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Support vehicle and plant-related activities.
• Liaise with internal teams and suppliers on fleet compliance and availability.
• Ensure tools, lifting equipment and electrical assets remain calibrated and compliant.
• Support health, safety and company compliance requirements.
• Assist with audits and compliance activities.
• Support purchasing and procurement requirements.

REQUIREMENTS
• Experience in stores, warehouse or materials management with responsibility for the area.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and stores management systems.
• Positive and proactive approach with the ability to use initiative.
• Ability to combine physical stores work with administrative and system-based tasks.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to high standards of safety and compliance.

DESIRABLE
• Experience using Oracle R12.
• Valid forklift truck licence or substantial forklift operating experience.
• Experience in operational, utilities, infrastructure or construction environments.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT
• Smart working arrangements, with up to 40% remote working where the role allows.
• The role is primarily based around the street lighting operational depot in Boldon.
