About The Role
Bluebird Care Gateshead is recruiting Female Care Assistants to provide home care and support to customers across Gateshead, Wickham, Blaydon, Ryton and the immediate surrounding areas.
The positions are available on a permanent part-time or full-time basis, paying £13.70 an hour. Guaranteed contracted hours are available, with enhanced pay for bank holidays and paid mileage of 30p per mile between calls.
No previous care experience is required. Bluebird Care states that it hires based on values and provides full training and ongoing support to Care Assistants. Staff can also work towards nationally recognised qualifications, including the Care Certificate and NVQs.
The successful applicants will support elderly and vulnerable customers to remain in the comfort of their own homes rather than moving into residential care. Duties include personal care and medication support, preparing and cooking meals, companionship, housework and running errands.
Care Assistants will also help promote customers’ wellbeing and independence, supporting them to live their lives as fully as possible.
Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have their own reliable vehicle that can be used for work, as the role involves travelling between clients. Applicants must also have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship and currently reside in Gateshead or the immediate surrounding areas.
