Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and related areas
- Prepare produce for mealtimes, including vegetable preparation and making sandwiches
- Ensure correct storage of dry and perishable produce
- Safely store cleaning materials
- Clean cooking utensils and pots to the required standards
- Carry out tasks assigned by the Head Chef, Second Chef or Home Manager

About The Role
Care UK is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Grangewood care home in Houghton le Spring. The successful candidate will support the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, preparing food for mealtimes, storing produce safely and assisting the Head Chef, Second Chef or Home Manager with day-to-day catering duties.
