About The Role
Centre Barks is recruiting a Receptionist to join its team at its kennels and cattery in Stockton-on-Tees. The permanent part-time position involves 16 hours per week over two days, with flexibility to take on additional hours to cover sickness and holidays.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers and their pets. Duties include checking animals in and out, handling bookings and enquiries, managing emails and social media, taking payments and completing paperwork.
There may also be opportunities to assist with kennel and cattery duties, including feeding and walking animals and helping to maintain high standards of care and welfare. The role is both desk-based and physical, with some outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Centre Barks is open 365 days a year, so flexibility is required around Christmas, New Year, Easter and bank holidays. The business is particularly busy during school holidays, which may affect holiday availability during peak periods.
Applicants must provide a covering letter and CV. The covering letter should explain any pre-booked holidays, why the role appeals to them and what makes them suitable to be the face of the business.
