• 10-hour shifts

SHIFT PATTERN
• 8:00am–6:00pm
• Rota basis

ABOUT THE ROLE
• Join the kitchen team at Oaklands, a specialist residential service with nursing supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs
• Help provide balanced and appetising meals
• Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with basic food preparation, cooking and other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils and dishes and store them appropriately
• Sort, store and distribute ingredients
• Check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean and hygienic
• Handle, maintain and store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations

REQUIREMENTS
• Passion for catering, preferably with experience in a care setting
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team member
• Polite and professional with a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work independently and under supervision
• Diligent and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
