GSL Education is currently in search of an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant for a School located in Sunderland .

EYFS Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher in addressing students’ educational and social requirements.
  • Providing 1:1 support to a student with complex needs.
  • Emphasizing the development of social skills, life skills, and communication skills in lessons, activities, and group sessions.
  • Collaborating with two learners with complex needs and a lead teacher.
  • Aiding in planning and preparing learning activities, resources, and materials for the EYFS curriculum.
  • Supporting in conducting assessments and maintaining records of each child’s development and progress.

EYFS Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • We encourage individuals aspiring to work in pastoral roles, including child psychologists, educational psychologists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, SALTs, counselors, and social workers, to apply.
  • Prior experience in a support role within a school or a child-related setting.
  • A compassionate and professional attitude, with an enthusiasm to assist with personal care for students.
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
