About The Role
• Join Hays Travel’s Flights Department and provide expert flight support services across the business.
• Work within a successful and friendly team creating tailored flight itineraries for customers.
• Provide specialist airline and routing advice to Hays Travel agents.
• Use Galileo GDS to organise and manage flight arrangements.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting the company’s nationwide sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
Flight Reservations And Itinerary Planning
• Use the Galileo GDS system to create tailor-made flight itineraries.
• Manage flight bookings through telephone and email enquiries.
• Provide expert advice on airlines, routes and travel options.
• Ensure customers receive the most suitable flight arrangements.
Group Bookings
• Arrange and manage group flight bookings.
• Process bookings through airline portals, GDS systems and direct airline communication.
• Manage the full booking lifecycle.
• Ensure all airline contract deadlines and requirements are met.
Advanced Flight Management
• Manage Vista Advanced Flights bookings.
• Ensure flights meet all holiday package requirements.
• Complete additional flight-related arrangements where necessary.
• Manage booking portfolios efficiently and accurately.
Airline Liaison And Support
• Understand airline contracts and fare rules.
• Interpret airline terms and conditions.
• Liaise directly with airlines to resolve issues and secure positive outcomes.
• Provide system support and guidance to Hays Travel agents.
Customer Service
• Deliver a comprehensive “one-stop” solution for customer enquiries.
• Support colleagues and agents with expert flight knowledge.
• Ensure Customer Excellence procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and accuracy.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Experience
• Previous Galileo GDS experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of the travel industry.
