ABOUT THE ROLE
Holmlands Hair & Beauty is looking for a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join its salon team.
The role involves providing personalised hair care and styling services, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a welcoming salon environment. The position also offers opportunities for professional growth, mentoring and specialised treatments, including advanced colour application.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform hair cutting, colouring and styling services according to client preferences.
• Provide specialised treatments using the latest colour and cutting techniques.
• Understand client needs and provide tailored hair care advice.
• Manage appointments, client check-ins and payment processing.
• Upsell additional services and retail products.
• Support store management in maintaining a clean, organised and inviting salon.
• Mentor junior staff or apprentices to support skill development and teamwork.
• Keep up to date with the latest hair and beauty trends, techniques and product knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a strong portfolio of work.
• Barbering skills are desirable but not essential.
• Experience in store management or salon operations is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to upsell services and retail products effectively.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, particularly regarding hygiene and presentation.
• Ability to manage appointments independently while working effectively within a team.
• A recognised qualification in hairdressing or cosmetology is required.
