About The Role:
J D Wetherspoon is looking for reliable and enthusiastic Cleaners to help maintain excellent cleanliness standards throughout its pub in Houghton-Le-Spring.
No previous experience is required, as training will be provided. Applicants should have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean customer areas, toilets, the bar, kitchen, staff areas and outdoor spaces.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks in line with company procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and notify the manager when stocks need replenishing.
- Report maintenance problems and pest-related issues to the manager on duty.
- Interact politely with customers.
- Complete induction, role-specific and refresher training.
Requirements:
- Proof of the right to work in the UK.
- A bank account in your own name.
- Ability to communicate in English and understand training instructions.
- A fixed place of residence within reasonable travelling distance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliability, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Working Arrangements:
Flexible shifts are available, including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.
