Key Responsibilities
- Lead the start-up of a new manufacturing line by managing commissioning, qualification and verification activities
- Drive project delivery and stakeholder engagement
- Manage project risks and operational readiness
- Embed Continuous Improvement principles
- Lead the newly established production area following start-up
- Manage operational performance, colleague development and business objectives
Requirements
- Manufacturing leadership experience within a fast-paced food, FMCG or continuous manufacturing environment
- Experience delivering complex operational projects, commissioning activities or major manufacturing investments
- Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Commercial and operational awareness, including budget and resource management
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
About The Role
KP Snacks is recruiting a Manufacturing Project Manager (known internally as Start Up Lead) for its Billingham site. The successful candidate will lead the commissioning, qualification and verification of a new manufacturing and packaging line before taking responsibility for managing the newly established production area. The role involves working closely with Engineering, Operations and external partners to ensure a safe and successful launch while driving operational performance and continuous improvement. The position is based on-site, Monday to Friday.
