Overview:
Lawcris Panel Products Ltd, a major UK distributor of wood-based panel products, is recruiting a HR Assistant to join its busy HR team at its Leeds headquarters. The role focuses on supporting transactional HR processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and effective administration across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the HR Manager
- Coordinate onboarding for new starters, including documentation
- Create and maintain employee electronic records
- Assist with monthly payroll processing
- Manage changes to terms and conditions, issuing letters as required
- Update HR systems with salary and employment changes
- Respond to day-to-day HR administration queries
- Provide first-line advice and guidance to line managers
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in HR (required)
- Strong IT and computing skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Presentation skills
- Knowledge of HR systems (One Advanced preferred)
- Basic knowledge of employment law and HR practices (advantageous)
- CIPD Level 3 (preferred or willingness to work towards)
