Hours: 30–35 hours per week (shift-based)
Pay: £13.00 – £13.95 per hour
Extras: +£2.00 per hour on bank holidays | +£3.50 per hour for night shifts
Role Overview:
Lidl is recruiting Customer Assistants to join the team at its South Shields store. This is a fast-paced retail role where no two shifts are the same, ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, teamwork, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide friendly, helpful customer service and support
Restock shelves and work deliveries efficiently
Operate tills and support store operations as required
Bake and replenish fresh bakery products
Merchandise and maintain non-food middle aisles
Keep the store clean, tidy, and well organised

Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Strong customer service skills
Flexibility to start early or finish late
Positive attitude and adaptability
Motivation to work hard and support team success
