About The Role:
Manjaros Restaurant is looking for an experienced Front Of House team member to join its Newcastle restaurant. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
Training will be provided to successful applicants in line with Manjaros’ procedures, with potential progression to a supervisor position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and show them to their tables.
- Take food and drink orders.
- Serve food to customers.
- Clear, clean and reset tables.
- Answer telephone calls and process takeaway orders.
- Carry out cleaning duties, including sanitising surfaces and sweeping floors.
- Reconcile daily cash transactions.
- Follow opening and closing procedures.
- Help control waste and comply with company policies.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
Requirements:
- At least one year of restaurant or relevant hospitality experience is essential.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to follow procedures and maintain high standards.
- Availability to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, including two or three weekend days.
- Availability for 30–40 hours per week.
- Ability to arrange transport home after 11:15pm.
