JOB TYPE

HOURS
• Full-time hours.
• Days, nights and weekends.
• Night shifts are paid at time and a third.
• Sundays are paid at time and a half.

ABOUT THE ROLE
• Support adults with learning disabilities during their short stay breaks at Levick Court.
• Provide individualised care and support.
• Follow individualised care plans.
• Support service users with their chosen activities.
• Deliver a customer-led service.
• Work as directed by senior staff.
• Help create an enjoyable and supportive environment for people using the service.
• Some additional housekeeping duties are included.

REQUIREMENTS
• Good communication skills.
• Caring, fun and creative approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Passion for helping and supporting others.
• Interest in getting involved in activities with service users.
• Experience working with adults who have learning disabilities is desirable but not essential.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
• Levick Court is a 24-hour service providing short stay breaks for adults with learning disabilities.
• The purpose-built facility includes communal areas, activity rooms, a sensory room, media room and secure gardens.
• Domestic and catering staff are based on site.

SAFEGUARDING
• The post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Middlesbrough Council does not currently offer sponsorships.
