JOB: Customer Adviser
Employer: Newcastle Building Society
Location: Tyne & Wear (South Shields)
Salary: £25,469 – £28,026 per year

Key Details
- Permanent
- Full-time (35 hours per week)
- Monday–Friday 9am–5pm + Saturday rota (usually until 12pm)
- Closing date: 8 May 2026
Duties
- Serve customers face-to-face and understand financial needs
- Process transactions and manage tills
- Book customer appointments
- Assist with opening savings accounts
- Handle daily branch operations (opening/closing, cashing up)
- Deliver excellent customer service
Requirements
- Strong people and communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with customers
- Good listening and empathy skills
- Team player attitude
- Willingness to learn (no finance experience required)
