Overview
Full-time Medical Receptionist role on a 1-year fixed-term contract (maternity cover) at New Washington Medical Group. Focused on patient care, administration, and front-desk operations within a GP practice.
Hours
- 36 hours per week
- Monday to Friday (8am – 6pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch)

Role Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in person and via phone
- Manage appointments and patient requests
- Handle prescriptions and liaise with pharmacies
- Maintain patient records and update systems
- Carry out administrative tasks (filing, scanning, data entry)
- Support the practice team and ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain confidentiality and follow health & safety procedures
Ideal Candidate
- Previous medical receptionist experience preferred
- Strong IT and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Organised and able to manage workload effectively
- Professional, empathetic, and team-oriented
- Understanding of confidentiality in healthcare settings
