Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate painting and decorating teams
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
- Maintain strong Health & Safety standards on site
- Liaise with clients, site managers and other contractors
- Assist with developing new work opportunities
- Support the development of client relationships
- Demonstrate commercial awareness and understanding of project requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator or Foreman
- CSCS card
- Face Fit certification
- Asbestos Awareness certification
- Strong Health & Safety awareness
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Commercial awareness and a professional approach
- Full UK driving licence
About The Role
SML Painters and Decorators Ltd is recruiting an experienced Foreman Painter and Decorator to work across various projects throughout the North East.
The full-time permanent position pays £18.50 per hour and offers an immediate start. The successful candidate will supervise existing painting and decorating teams, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The role includes coordinating teams, monitoring agreed timescales and maintaining strong Health & Safety standards. The successful candidate will also liaise with clients, site managers and other contractors and contribute to the development of new work opportunities and client relationships.
Applicants must have proven experience as a Painter & Decorator or Foreman and hold CSCS, Face Fit and Asbestos Awareness certifications. Strong communication, organisational and commercial skills are also required, together with a full UK driving licence.
