ABOUT THE ROLE
• Serve customers efficiently, professionally and courteously
• Provide a high standard of customer service
• Advise guests on products available at the venue
• Create a welcoming atmosphere
• Work independently or as part of a team
• Maintain stock levels and assist with stocktaking
• Prepare restaurants and private boxes for meals, tea, coffee and refreshments
• Serve food and beverages and wine as directed
• Keep work and public areas clean and tidy
• Follow Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines
• Process orders and payments correctly
• Operate and close tills according to company procedures
• Maintain accurate temperature records and other required paperwork
• Follow licensing policies and procedures
• Handle cash, stock and equipment securely
• Act as an information point for customers
• Record and dispose of waste in line with venue procedures and recycling initiatives

• Excellent verbal communication and customer care skills
• Flexible and adaptable
• Passion for quality service and high standards
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Friendly, confident and outgoing
• Good numerical and literacy skills
• Ability to handle difficult or conflict situations
• Honesty and integrity
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude in all weather
• Hospitality experience preferred but not essential

WORKING ARRANGEMENT
• Casual work around other commitments
• Shifts offered in advance for race days and hospitality functions
• Opportunities vary according to busy seasons and the annual racing calendar
• Positions allocated on the day as part of the briefing
