The Mayfair in Newcastle is hiring a Bartender to work on a Full or Part-time basis
Pay & Contract
• From £12.21 per hour
• Permanent role
• Part-time (approx. 16 hours per week)
• Full-time hours may be available
• Weekend and evening work required
The Role
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to a high standard
• Deliver fast, friendly and engaging service in a lively environment
• Take orders, make drink recommendations and engage positively with guests
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked bar area
• Handle cash and card payments accurately, including tabs
• Restock supplies, rotate stock and report low items
• Check IDs and promote responsible alcohol service in line with licensing laws
• Support smooth service during busy periods, including late-night trading (up to 2am weekends)
Requirements
• Minimum 6 months’ experience as a bartender in a pub, bar or similar venue
• Strong hospitality and customer service skills
• Confident, friendly and outgoing personality
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety
• Cocktail knowledge is an advantage, with willingness to learn
Hours & Working Pattern
• Around 16 hours per week
• Shifts mainly evenings and weekends
• Flexibility required for busy events and match days
