• 37 hours 30 minutes per week
• Monday to Friday
ABOUT THE ROLE
• Assist with engineering maintenance tasks within the Estates Directorate.
• Help ensure statutory, mandatory and Trust-specific Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Work under the direction of a craftsperson.
• Respond to Estates emergencies.
• Assist with the installation, repair and commissioning of equipment.
• Carry out maintenance activities on a variety of plant and equipment.
• Complete minor works and day-to-day reactive maintenance.
• Carry out driving duties when required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Emergency lighting testing.
• PAT testing.
• Ventilation grille cleaning.
• Air handling unit inspections and cleaning.
• Fire alarm testing.
• Bed maintenance.
• Fire damper testing.
• Domestic appliance repairs.
• Site and plant room tidiness and safety.
• Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
• Basic knowledge of building and engineering services.
• Relevant experience within a maintenance environment.
• Flexible approach to meet the Estates support demands of a large acute hospital Trust.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
• Emergency lighting testing.
• Electrical systems.
• Ventilation and water systems.
• Working within an acute hospital environment.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT

• Flexible working is required to meet Estates support demands.
