Role Summary

• Supervise domestic services within a healthcare environment.
• Lead and support domestic staff to ensure high cleaning standards are maintained.
• Help deliver a safe, clean and hygienic environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Ensure domestic services meet organisational policies and healthcare standards.
• Play a key role in maintaining infection prevention and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

Team Supervision

• Supervise and support domestic staff on a day-to-day basis.
• Allocate duties and monitor performance.
• Provide guidance and support to team members.
• Ensure staff follow cleaning schedules and procedures.

Cleaning Standards

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Monitor quality of cleaning services.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare cleaning standards.
• Support infection prevention and control measures.

Operational Responsibilities

• Assist with staff scheduling and workload planning.
• Monitor stock levels and cleaning supplies.
• Report maintenance and environmental issues when required.
• Ensure domestic services operate efficiently.

Health and Safety

• Promote safe working practices.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
• Support risk management and incident reporting procedures.
• Monitor correct use of cleaning equipment and materials.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills

• Good organisational and supervisory skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Commitment to maintaining excellent cleanliness standards.

Experience

• Previous cleaning or domestic services experience.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience desirable.
• Experience working within healthcare, facilities management or similar environments would be beneficial.

Pay and Enhancements

• Basic Pay: £15.13 per hour.
• Weekend Enhancement:
  • 25% enhancement paid for hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Equivalent to time-and-a-quarter pay rates during these periods.

Employment Terms

• Appointment will be on NTW Solutions Limited terms and conditions.
• Existing NTW Solutions employees currently on NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) terms can choose to:
  • Remain on AfC terms and conditions, or
  • Transfer to NTW Solutions terms and conditions.
• Advertised salary may differ for employees who choose to remain on AfC terms.
• Existing NHS Pension Scheme members can retain NHS Pension membership.
