JOB: Care Coordinator

Location: Sunderland & Washington (multiple GP practices)
Salary: £24,852.61 per year (pro rata)

- Part-time (20 hours per week)
- Flexible working across multiple sites
Duties
- Provide reception and front-of-house support to patients
- Answer calls, book/cancel appointments, and manage enquiries
- Process prescriptions and patient records
- Register new patients and update clinical systems (EMISWeb)
- Handle confidential information and maintain records
- Support GPs and clinical staff with admin tasks
- Manage messages, results, and general practice workflows
Requirements
- Experience working in an NHS setting
- Knowledge of medical reception duties
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Notes
- DBS check required
- May include occasional weekend or extra hours
