ABOUT THE ROLE
• Work alongside the Head Chef to deliver freshly prepared food in a busy café environment
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Take responsibility for kitchen operations when the Head Chef is absent
• Prepare and cook fresh food to a consistently high standard
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the kitchen team during the Head Chef’s days off
• Assist with menu development, specials and seasonal dishes
• Maintain high food hygiene, health and safety standards
• Manage stock and deliveries
• Organise food preparation and kitchen operations
• Support and motivate the kitchen team
• Help ensure efficient service
REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Passion for good food
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Confidence running a kitchen when the Head Chef is away
• Commitment to maintaining high standards and delivering quality food
