The Imps host an in form Sunderland team at Sincil Bank this Saturday.
The Black Cats’ are currently 5 games unbeaten as they fight for a play off place.
In the last game Sunderland scored 2 late goals to beat relegation fighters Crewe Alexandra thanks to goals from Dan Neil and Patrick Roberts.
Last time out for The Imps, they were beaten by top of the league side Rotherham United 2-1 after going 2-0 down in the first 13 minutes.
Lincoln currently sit 18th in the table which is disappointing after their successful 5th place finish last season.
Lincoln went on to reach the Play Off Final last season after beating The Black Cats’ in the semi-final.
However they did go on to lose against Blackpool at Wembley Stadium 2-1.
The last time the two sides met was in January at the stadium of light, where The Imps enjoyed an impressive 3-1 against the Black Cats’after former Sunderland favourite Chris Maguire scored a hat-trick.
Sunderland Head Coach, Alex Neil will be confident The Black Cats’ can continue their run of form as we go into the business end of the season.

Alex Pritchard will miss out once again due to his ankle injury, but the midfielder is nearing a return.
Aiden McGeady is still being monitored but he is still some way off a return to the side.
Niall Huggins remains in rehabilitation however Alex Neil revealed he has suffered another slight set back after suffering a problem with his heel.
