Man arrested over death of missing dog in South Shields

A man has been arrested in connection to the death of a missing dog in South Shields after its body was found

After a female dog called Winnie gone missing on Sunday, police were contacted after her body was found on Wednesday.

On examination, foul play was suspected, and a police investigation was opened. A man was soon arrested after.

Northumbria Police issued a statement saying that “a man has now been arrested in connection to the incident and remains in police custody.”
