A Sunderland man has been jailed after he climbed through his ex-partner’s bedroom window and tried to choke her.
Alexander Hindmarsh first attacked the victim on March 31 and his violence, which left the woman with cuts to her foot and forehead as well as blood around her mouth, was captured on a phone camera.
He pleaded guilty to assault and agreed to stay away from the victim.
However, on September 7th, he turned up to her house and climbed in through the window.
He then chased her through the house, before dragging her and pulling her by the hair and choking her.
He threatened to hit her with a glass bottle, but her relatives luckily turned up and intervened.
Hindmarsh pleaded guilty to assault, intentional strangulation and threatening with an offensive weapon in relation to the second attack.
He was jailed for four years.
