Man pleads guilty to filming young boys and men in MetroCentre Toilets

A man has pleaded guilty to charges of vouyerism and making indecent images of children after he covertly filmed men and young boys in MetroCentre toilets.

Trevor English admitted 18 offenses, including, “13 of voyeurism, one of outraging pubic decency, one of taking an indecent image of a child and three of making hundreds of indecent images of children.”

One of the victims was as young as 12 years old.

Judge Penny Moreland ordered English to sign the interim sex offenders register ahead of his sentencing hearing, which will take place later this year. The judge told him: “You will be sentenced for the offences on the 3rd of October.

“I’m directing the probation service to prepare a report to assist the judge who sentences you but you should expect an immediate custodial sentence in respect of the offences you have admitted.”

English, 44, of Benson Road, Walker, Newcastle, was released on conditional bail until October.
