A man is reportedly trying doors around the Chester Road area near the Sunderland Hospital, a resident has reported after catching him trying to open her home.
The resident, who lives next to Burnaby Street in a cottage, reported that she was startled this evening after she heard the handle of her front door going up and down and someone attempting to push.
Upon looking out of the front bedroom window, she witnessed a man on the pathway and banged “on the window to warn him off.”
Residents of the area are asked to be vigilant.
