A memorial service is set to be held at Sunderland Minster by a fans group in dedication to the late Charlie Hurley.
The Sunderland supporters heaven branch is a special fans branch dedicated to honouring and remembering fans of SAFC who have passed away, which has become an important outlet for people to express tributes to their loved ones.
Titled: “Charlie Hurley: The greatest centre half the world has ever seen” the service is set to take place on Monday 6th, May at 10.30am.
Here, senior fans will share their memories of The King, a minutes silence will be held and the audience will chant “Who’s the greatest centre half the world has ever seen?”
