Millwall VS Sunderland- Match Preview & Prediction

Preview

Sunderland travel down to The Den, as they face Millwall in a game which could see either side move up into the play-off places.

Just one point separates the two sides, but Millwall do have one game in hand.

Sunderland have lost just 1 of their last 5 games, that loss coming against Swansea at home, 3 weeks ago.

Millwall are also in good form, only losing 1 of their last 6 in the league.

Sunderland came out 3-0 winners back in December at the Stadium of Light, thanks to goals from Amad, Alex Pritchard and Ellis Simms.

Former Black Cat, Duncan Watmore, could make his debut for Millwall, having signed from Middlesbrough on deadline day for an undisclosed fee.

Alex Pritchard and Dennks Cirkin are both back in contention following their injuries, and new signing. Joe Gelhardt, Isaac Lihadji and Joe Anderson could be in line to make their debuts.

Pierre Ekwah is also in contention to make his league debut after coming on against Fulham last week in the FA Cup.

Lymden Gooch is set to be out, with Corry Evans and Ross Stewart both picking up injuries which will see them miss the remainder of the season.

Prediction

Millwall 1-2 Sunderland.

Scorers – Amad and Joe Gelhardt.
