Morrisons Seaburn has issued a notice after reports of a “fake veteran” loitering outside of their supermarket claiming donations.
The statement, as posted on their social media, reads: “Morning all, it has come to my attention that this man is often seen sitting outside the entrance of our store. I have been notified that he is not homeless, nor is he ex forces. He has a fake soldier ID. This has been confirmed by veterans in crisis.
He is simply a scammer taking advantage of our customers and our genuine ex forces veterans. Please, if you do see him, do not engage, do not give him anything and report to myself, my management team or security. Thanks for your help on this one.”
