New Dog Wash station to built on Marine Walk in Roker

Tired of the mess and fuss of taking your wet dog home from the beach after it plays in the sea, or being covered in sand after?

Now, plans for a ‘self-service’ dog wash station in Roker have been given the green light by Sunderland council.

Sunderland City Council’s planning department has approved a planning application for land near the Marine Walk car park.

The plans from NE Dog Wash, submitted earlier this year, aimed to install a dog wash facility with service connections including power, water and waste.

The company, which already operates from locations in Blyth, Whitley Bay and several country parks, provides dog wash stations with cycles including shampoo, rinse, conditioner, ‘further rinse’ and warm blow dry.
