Pierre-Emmanuel Ekwah Elimby – All You Need to Know

Pierre-Emmanuel Ekwah Elimby, Also known as Pierre Ekwah has signed for Sunderland on a 4.5 year deal from West Ham United.

West Ham have included a 25% sell on clause, if Sunderland were to let him go in the future.

Labelling the great Zinedine Zidane as his idol, Ekwah is a young and talented box-to-box midfielder who can also play just infront of the defence.

He is known for being a versatile player and he has been known to play as a centre-back and left-back if he is needed in them positions.

The 21-year-old isn’t afraid of going forward but he is also known for getting stuck in with a tackle.

He has impressed in the Premier League 2 this season, playing 11 games, scoring 5 goals and getting an assist.

Ekwah grew up just outside of Paris and moved to England to pursue his footballing career in 2018 when he signed for Chelsea at the age of 16.

He spent three years in Chelsea’s youth setup before signing for West Ham in 2021.

He played alot of games for the under-23s for the Hammers but he never really got a look in the first team.

He has represented France at youth level, playing a total of 18 games, 13 for the U16s and 5 for the U20s.

Standing at 6ft 2, Emwah has the potential to become a real powerful central defender for Sunderland.
