Police Seize Cannabis Farms on Allendale Road, Farringdon

Police discovered Cannabis Farms in a property in Allendale Road, Farringdon on January 2nd.

Authorities became suspicious about a house upon learning that it was stifling electricity from another source. Police raided the address and discovered equipment used to grow the drug.

All equipment has now been confiscated and the property has been declared “safe” by police.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At around 12pm on January 2, police received information that an address on Allendale Road in Sunderland was being used as a suspected cannabis farm.

“Officers attended the address where it was reported that the electricity had been bypassed, and found a number of items within the property that connected to the supply of the illegal drug.

“The address was made safe and the equipment seized. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can contact police using the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of our website quoting crime number: 000569N/23.”
