A notorious and prolific Sunderland Shoplifter banned from every shop in the city centre has been jailed for the 3rd time in two years.
Liam Ellison, of no fixed abode, received a banning order from every single shopping premises in the city centre in 2022.
Paying no heed to it, he has frequently been given minor prison sentences, and was jailed again in 2023 after stealing a coat from TK Maxx.
Liam, who frequently hangs around the Borough Road area, is also known for violence and was videoed glassing someone last summer. Last week, someone informed SGM he was threatening people in what was Yates.
Now, Liam’s newest prison sentence comes after he was caught entering the Bridges, defying his banning order.
He is to spend 14 weeks in prison.
