Ryhope Woman Walks Free after Threatening to Bite A Policeman’s “Face off” and Kill His Children

A Ryhope Woman who threatened to bite a policeman’s face off and kill his wife and kids has been spared jail.

Kimley Round, 43, made the threats after being detained for a crime in Sunderland she was later not charged with anyway.

Round, of Esdale, Ryhope, became so aggressive while in custody the PC had to move to keep her at arm’s length.

It was later found that she was under the influence of alcohol and also possessed cannabis on her person.

She was given a 16 month suspended sentence for her behaviour, which was described as lenient as she was suffering emotional problems over the recent loss of her mother.

Prosecutor Glenda Beck said: “At about 5am the police attended an address on a separate matter that’s not before the court.”

“As a result, an officer spoke to Ms Round and noticed she showed signs of being drunk, she was aggressive and abusive.

In addition to the suspended sentence, Round must pay a £128 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
