Serial Charity Pot Thief Adam Crawford Back Behind Bars

Serial local charity pot thief Adam Crawford is back behind bars after breaching the terms of his license following a spree of thefts and other offenses around the local area, SGM can confirm.
Crawford, 37 and originally from Kent, has a long established criminal history of stealing charity pots from shops and businesses, as well as people, which put him in jail the first time round.
His first stint behind bars sadly didn’t make him change his ways.
Relocating to Sunderland and living at a Silksworth address, Adam picked up where he left off and continued his crime spree.
Stealing pots from numerous locations around Wearside, he was caught on CCTV stealing from Stirks Steakhouse on the Broadway on Christmas eve of 2021, and later Concord Convenience Store in Washington, to name a few.
When confronted publicly about his theft by members of the public and business owners, Adam would repeatedly state that it was for his mother who was “dying of cancer”. This claim has been proven to be a lie.
Adam’s continued offending drew criticism of the Crown Prosecution Service, who were slow to respond to complaints despite him repeatedly being re-arrested.
However, it is now reported that he has finally crossed the line and has been reinterned for violating his license.
It is important to note that this is not a new sentencing, but he will now be required to fulfill the full term of his initial sentence, and will be behind bars until 2024.
