Sex offender downloaded hundreds of indecent images of children again within two weeks of getting a second chance after being convicted the first time
A 25-year-old Stockton man has been jailed after downloading over 260 indecent images of children—just weeks after being given a suspended sentence meant to help him turn his life around.
Andrew Boatwright was previously spared prison in April and placed on the sex offenders register, along with a strict Sexual Harm Prevention Order. But within only 73 days, police found a hidden tablet under his mattress containing new child abuse images, including Category A.
He also used an alias on his Xbox and failed to disclose the device to his offender manager, breaching his court order multiple times.
Judge Jonathan Carroll said Boatwright had been given “one chance” to get back on track — and had “squandered it”.
Boatwright was jailed for a total of 2 years and 10 months.
