Jobe Bellingham and Wilson Isidor scored brilliant goals, as Sunderland beat Oxford United to go 5 points clear at the top of the table.
Sunderland absolutely dominated the whole of the game, at times it almost looked like a training game, the performance from The Black Cats was outstanding, despite only winning by 2 goals.
Theybwere knocking on the door from the beginning, Patrick Roberts forced a good save from the ‘keeper from a free-kick and Wilson Isidor also forcing a save early on.
But, just after quarter of an hour, Jobe made it 1-0 with an outstanding header after some brilliant build-up play.
Roberts did well on the win, and played the ball inside to Trai Hume, who put in an amazing cross for Jobe to nod past the ‘keeper.
Despite not doubling the lead in the first-half, it was all too easy for Sunderland, and they were unlucky not to add to the lead.
The second 45 was no different, Jobe hit the bar early on with an absolute beauty of an effort from outside the box.
After the hour mark, Wilson Isidor did double the lead with another delightful goal.
The ball was won back and Dan Neil flicked a beautiful ball into Isidor, who volleyed it first time into the back of the net.
Patrick Roberts had a good chance to make it 3 towards the end, as Oxford gave the ball away on the edge of the area, but his first time shot went just past the post.
Sunderland are now 5 points clear at the top of the table, and Oxford have dropped down to 14th and are now only 3 points above relegation.
