Sunderland Pervert Jailed For Sexual Assault, Violent Threats and Expressing Desires towards 8 Year Old Girl

A woman was subjected to a terrifying sexual onslaught on social media by a 21 year old man.

Corrie Talbot sent disturbing messages to a number of women on Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram, including expressing a sexual interest in a child relative of one of them.

Talbot, who has autism and a drug user, went on to approach another woman and sexually assaulted her over her clothing.

Now the 21-year-old has been jailed for two years at Newcastle Crown Court after he pleaded guilty to sexual assault, six offences of sending malicious communications and harassment, in offences spanning more than a year, between May 2020 and June 2021.

The court heard the assault happened in a building. Talbot approached the victim with his hands down his shorts committing a sex act.

Kelly Sharif, the prosecutor, said: “He lunged at her and tried to put his free hand between her legs

“He put his hand between her legs and touched her through her clothing

“She struggled to get away and he pushed her against a filing cabinet.

“She broke free and got help.”

The court heard one of the malicious communications victims was a former partner who broke up with him in 2017 due to his controlling and abusive behaviour.

He even contacted her on Snapchat and expressed sexual desire to her eight-year-old sister.

After hearing similar messages about Talbot’s behaviour towards others, she told her mother what he had sent her and called the police

Talbot, who has no fixed address, then randomly sent another woman who he did not know, another message on Instagram making a reference to sticking part of her genitals on his front door.

He then sent a picture of his penis to her with sexual messages.

Talbot also contacted another woman, who he went to school with previously but didn’t stay in touch with.

Using the moniker “Hugh Mungus” on Snapchat, she got 15 missed calls from him.

After she ignored him, he then sent threatening messages saying he will stab her and put her windows out, causing her to fear for her safety.

Talbot also contacted another ex school associate and her sister on Snapchat and sent sexual messages and did similar to another woman.

Talbot also harassed another ex partner, sending messages on Facebook threatening to damage her stepfather’s car and calling her vile names.

He also messaged the victim’s friend asking to get her to text him because “I’m going to shoot her with a crossbow”.

The court heard his victims were left feeling alarmed, anxious, worried and upset by his actions.

Talbot, who has no previous convictions, was jailed for two years and given a five year restraining order to protect the victims. He must also sign the sex offenders register for ten years.

Judge Penny Moreland said of the sexual assault victim: “The offence must have been terrifying for her.”

“She was shaking and petrified.”

The judge said Talbot’s drink and drug problems had made his mental health problems worse
